Happy Fall, readers!

Luna Updates

This won’t be a huge update. Work has been a little busier, and finding the time and energy to keep at revisions has been . . . well, it’s always a struggle. Perhaps someday I’ll get a perfect routine down for it. Over the course of the summer, I’ve made some changes in my personal life to reduce my mental fatigue and needless internet consumption, such as deleting Facebook and other apps from my phone and making the switch from YouTube to Spotify Premium for music. I have a particular weakness for short-form content that cycles endlessly through random but highly interesting trivia videos, and an hour later I’ve forgotten whatever key secrets were imparted to me about woodworking and crocodiles via the algorithm . . .

How did our modern world get like this anyway?

Frankly, I think a good antidote is reading—especially physical books. I’ve been really getting back into that lately.

Luna Updates

Luna revisions continue. I am currently doling out the second draft to alpha readers part-by-part as I solidify them. Revising a book and seeing the threads come together is a bit like parenting my two-year-old, in that it’s beautiful to watch but highly exhausting . . .

While we’re on the topic, do reach out to me if you have read Mani and Gaea and are interested in being a beta reader for Luna. I think my reader base is small enough at present that I can comfortably ask that and not get swamped with requests.

Gaea, Book Two, will be uploading on Royal Road starting (or rather, resuming) October 15, so be on the lookout for that if you haven’t read Book Two yet and would like to check it out for free.

Tales from the Earthen Sky: Act II

Solis is back! The trials begin as the towering Earth welcomes our heroes with open jaws . . . Act II is live now, updating Fridays at 6:00 pm eastern time. You can go check it out at this link. I have upwards of 20,000 words of notes and development material for the story, expanding all the time as I jot down notes on breaks at work. (If you guys aren’t using Google Docs, it’s amazing.)

And with that, we part for now. Enjoy the weather while it lasts!
