Announcement, readers: March 31 was canceled this year, so happy April Fools Day!
(Sorry for the short update. There’s been a lot of work going on, but not much to report.)
Writing Updates
The prequel to The Mother Trilogy, titled The Mother’s Chains, is finished at 35k words and has gone through a couple of self-editing with the aid of some new AI tools I’ve been trying out. Don’t worry, I’ve not lost my way yet; I’m a respectable Marshwiggle, so I’m only using it for structure/research/general developmental analysis, so that I can improve it for my dev editor to work on (it’s in his hands right now). As a writer, this is where I tend to get stuck the most, and I want to learn how to speed up my own critical process.
I’ve also been playing around with an AI art platform called Midjourney . . . it’s quite impressive what it can put out, but I’m still learning the ropes, so the best I’ve currently come up with is this concept cover:

Luna release window: fall 2026. I’m still hammering out my editorial plan. As far as publication goes, getting the prequel out remains my main focus. I’m pumped for it, though. I’ve work yet to do, but it’s looking like a promising story. We’ll see what the beta readers think . . .
Book Reviews
Expect a lot of reviews next month. I technically only finished one book this month, which was Disquiet Gods, Book 6 of The Sun Eater, and I don’t have much more in Book 7. I’ve been reading a lot of shorter fiction and web serials, which I’ll share next time. Y’all have a great April Fools day tomorrow (play lots of pranks, read lots of books—you know).
