It’s Gaea release day! (FYI, I pronounce it GUY-uh, but there seems to be no “wrong way”)

Lyn’s journey has taken her to a broken world of strange technology, superhumans, and a one-world government intent on using her as a lab experiment. A war of worlds looms on the horizon.

Updates:

Gaea, Book Two of The Mother Trilogy, is available now! You can find it Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple, Smashwords, etc.

Notes from The Mother Trilogy:

Gaea’s Planetary Energy:

Geothermics:

Gaea’s natural planetary energy (called Geothermic energy) is tapped by deep wells all over the planet, most notably in nine locations where it rises closest.

Geokinesis:

Various Hellebes-developed methods to convert Gaea’s planetary energy (Geothermic energy) into work. Many machines do this, such as propulsion engines, Geoelectric generators and energy rifles, but Hellebes themselves are the most efficient at transmuting the power. They use it on a daily basis, drawing it in through their skin to enhance their own physical capabilities and even, with training, to return into the earth with a portion of their will, reshaping it. Many combat styles and techniques center around these uses.

Geokinetic Transfer:

Each Hellebes can only hold in himself so much energy at a time, and can only draw so quickly. This statistic refers to how much Geothermic energy a Hellebes is able to metabolize at once. It is said that female Hellebes have a vastly greater capacity for Geokinetic transfer than their male counterparts.

The Gaean Senate:

After the Great Exile, at the height of the population crisis, the Gaean League arose to save the world, uniting each major surviving sector of Gaea under nine cities—with one Senator for each. While little is known about each Senator, they are men of great renown and stature, powerful beings that have surpassed the limitations of the Hellebes and are thus fit to rule them.

  • Lldsaor, Emperor of Gaea, Senator of Haccolces
  • Brant, Senator of Maldunech
  • Strongs, Senator of Haven
  • Sylleo, Senator of Ccamos
  • Vladimir, Senator of Trident
  • Holmon, Senator of Luna Halcyon
  • Daedalus, Senator of Chronala
  • DeWitt, Senator of Lenardda

The ninth Senator is little spoken of, as he and his city were destroyed one hundred years ago.

In Closing . . .

Hope you enjoy these details from the Appendix section. Worldbuilding is something I like to focus on, and as you can see, it leans far stronger in the Sci-Fi direction in this second installment. What has become of those who remained behind on Mani? I’m afraid you have to read the book to find out.
