Late again, since my site hasn’t been working since last week. That’s what we have backups for. . . . (I might switch to Squarespace, as I’ve heard better things about them.) Anyway . . .
I hope everyone is doing well, and that more and more folks are reading and writing! For those who have been following my new web novel, Tales from the Earthen Sky, in any fashion, I have been focusing more of my creative resources on that lately—specifically with Royal Road as my audience. I have yet to build a following, but for now I’m researching ways to get more followers on the site organically. It’s totally free, so if you can bear the litRPG/isekai/fanfiction advertisements, it is the best way to read it. (I’ve also found some really great gems among the sludge heap, but you have to dig.) You can find my stories at this link. If you feel like checking Earthen Sky out on Royal Road, note that you can very easily follow novels to get updates, and it also helps me out if anyone comments/rates/reviews, because social validation principles, yada yada.
As far as my other novels go, I officially have an artist working on the cover for Mani, Book One of the Mother Trilogy, so I will be revealing that soon and then releasing the book in digital and hard copy formats as soon as I get some proof copies through IngramSpark. Updates will be incoming. I’m also currently getting reader feedback on Book Two, Gaea, which I hope to release this fall shortly following Mani, Lord willing. With how much time I’ve been putting into my web novel, Mother Book Three has yet to be outlined, but I’m slowly accumulating plot points for it. I wanted to wait until Gaea was in its final stages to outline and write it, as I am a very messy drafter and tend to form even core structural components after I’ve written an initial draft. I have an intentional plan for the series structure, but I’m still unsure how long I really want to make the third book. It may end up being the longest simply by necessity, but there are reasons why I would like for that not to be the case. If it does end up being 200k+ words, then . . . I’m probably not getting it drafted by the end of 2024. I’ve found that I write far faster and more smoothly with a detailed outline than without one, so that’s why this process is necessary for me.
